Our chickens are very happy and healthy raised with lots or love, care and treats.  
They are pasture raised moved to a new spot with fresh grass every day, two times a day when they get bigger. They're also given a balanced diet of chicken feed and lots or fruit and vegetables. No antibiotics or hormones used.
Our whole chickens last years weighed between 4.5-6 lbs. Some were a little bigger but that was the average size.
